As a commitment to El Segundo’s One Percent for Art program, Beyond Meat partnered with Indiewalls to pinpoint a local artist team who would create a sculpture that spoke to sustainability and the profound environmental impact of their products. As the sun moves through the sky, the sculpture casts dramatic shadows and nods to themes of geometry, art history, evolution, and biological patterns.
Beyond Meat was particularly drawn to HYBYCOZO and the deeply collaborative process of the artists, Serge and Yelena, who partner equally in both design and fabrication of their pieces. This paralleled Beyond Meat’s collaborative structure and emphasis on teamwork and community. Their work is rooted in sustainability, inspired by nature, and has a unique ability to generate civic enthusiasm and engagement.
