Indiewalls collaborated with local artists to curate an immersive and captivating multimedia art collection that beautifully captures the essence of Chicago's vibrant surroundings. Our diverse artistic palette includes custom commissioned installation art, mesmerizing mixed-media sculptures, eye-catching vinyl graphics, original murals, captivating large-scale photography, and thoughtfully framed artworks. Each piece serves as a profound testament to the rich cultural tapestry that defines Chicago. In partnership with Gettys Design Group and Marriott International, we embarked on a creative journey together. Our meticulous process involved curating and commissioning artworks, sourcing dynamic graphics, conceptualizing and prototyping remarkable 3D creations, overseeing artwork production, and bringing these original masterpieces and murals to life within the hotel's walls.
Visitors can admire a massive installation meticulously crafted from thousands of colored pencils, forming a stunning representation of a Chicago taxi cab. The artist behind this piece is Jen Talbot, who skillfully used common materials like pencils, paint, and pegboard to bring her vision to life. Guests will also have the opportunity to be captivated by Jen Talbot's hand-drawn map of the hotel neighborhood, which aims to evoke a sense of local connection. Additionally, portraits of Chicago by Alan Versus Zhang are on display, where he skillfully captures the city's rich history and electrifying present through his sketches of famous locals.
